Levi's 3rd Birthday

We now have a 3 year old ruling this house. Today is Levi's birthday!! We actually celebrated yesterday and we had a lot of fun. We planned a birthday party for Levi. We made invitations and ran them around to his friends and some family members were also planning on coming. But, one by one people kept canceling and soon only a couple people could come to his party. We ended up just canceling his party altogether and we tried to make the day really fun with just our family. I felt really bad at first because he was so excited that his friends and cousins were coming to his party. But, it all turned out great and we had fun.

I made him a train cake! He was so excited for his cake, he could hardly wait while he watched me make it. And, once it was officially complete, the first thing he did was stick his finger in it.

We lit the candles and sang Happy Birthday about 3-4 times! He was so excited and it made him so happy we kept doing it. This was his first experience with candles and he enjoyed it.

Papa helped Levi cut the cake.

We all stuffed ourselves with cake!!

This kid ate his equal share of cake as well.

It's not a party without balloons!

After cake we opened presents. He got a soccer ball and swimming pool.

We had to pump up the pool and test it out even though it was only 55 degrees outside and cloudy. I was cold just being outside and not even in the water. Papa spoiled the boys and hauled hot water from the house to fill up their pool. Malachi really took to Levi's new soccer ball and once he tossed it in the water he had to go after it. He toppled in headfirst and fully dressed.

After a nice hot bath, Adrian grilled yummy hamburgers and then we watched a disney movie with popcorn. I would say Levi thoroughly enjoyed his birthday celebration.

On a side note. It is also Mother's Day today and we celebrated that yesterday too. Adrian and boys gave me a wonderful card with a pretty necklace that is silver and gold with a light green stone. Levi kept telling me "happy mother's day". It was so cute. Then he would tell me to tell him thank you.
