Halloween 2017

This is our second Halloween celebration in NY. We chose to attend the ward trunk or treat event where we had a trunk decoration competition. We were the proud winners from last year so we had to defend the title. Tammy as usual did most of the work but I try to take all the credit LOL. This time the boys were very into super heroes, so, Malachi was superman, Levi was Flash and Maya was a pirate (not quite the superhero but still cute). So for our trunk decoration chose a background of skyscrapers (since we live in NY) with the classic "POW" "ZAP" of super hero movies. However, we also had some creepy webs and spiders as well as skeletons to give our trunk a spooky flavor. We had a good time getting candy as well as giving it to all the kids dressed up. Unfortunately, we did not win this year's competition. We think it was because we could not win again (as church likes to share the win), but we think we were the best.

Here is our cute little pirate girl.

Levi at school had a Halloween parade where every student and teacher dressed in their Halloween costumes and paraded around the grounds to loud Halloween music for all families to see. Then Levi had a party in class. It was a fun day.

Halloween pumpkins! They really are dressed, just in their underwear which is their most common look.

They were so excited to go trick or treating. We went around the block and that was sufficient for them. We came home and they dumped out their goodies and made themselves sick from sugar. It was a good Halloween.
